Scattergories

Instructions

Objective: Out-think and out-type your friends with unique words that match the category and start with the given letter!

1. Visit the Swellgarfo Scattergories website.

Head over to Swellgarfo Scattergories to start the game.

2. Choose Your Category & Letter

Each round features a new letter and a list of categories (e.g., things that are red, animals, cities).
Your goal: quickly come up with words that fit each category and start with the given letter.

3. Set a Timer

Agree on a time limit—two minutes per round keeps things exciting and fast-paced!

4. Enter Unique Words

Think of words for each category. The catch? You score only if no one else thought of the same word!

5. Score Your Points

Give yourself a point for every unique word.

Tips

  • The more unique your word, the better your chances of scoring points!
  • Double points for alliteration (e.g., “Silly Snake” for animal that starts with “S”) if you want an extra challenge!
